Holyoke City Hall

Built in 1871, Holyoke City Hall towers over the city reaching 220ft into the sky with its iconic clock face that can be seen from almost anywhere in town. Built in the Gothic Revival architecture style and designed by Charles B. Atwood, the city hall cost a handsome $500,000 at the time of its inception. It is a stone structure with granite from Monson, MA, and has dark slate roofs with red and green bands of slate throughout. Kronenberger & Sons performed a complete restoration to the interior and exterior of the historic city hall. Our work included, selective demolition, finish carpentry, millwork, plaster repairs, restoration of doors, and restoration of windows, including paint stripping, epoxy repairs, reglazing, and painting, as well as masonry restorations, and roofing.
