What We Do

Since 1946, Kronenberger & Sons Restoration has returned historic structures to their original luster while meeting the requirements of the 21st century. A specialist in the restoration, preservation, and adaptive re-use of historic structures, Kronenberger & Sons does more than to restore the physical part of a structure. We capture the emotion of an age. A time. A moment in our country’s heritage.

Architects, historical societies, private owners, municipalities, and museums depend upon us to know how a treasure can be restored and what must start anew to conform to the original. We are members of a variety of historical associations, including the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and recognized as a trusted partner in the preservation of our nation’s history.

As a bonded, merited, general contracting company listed on the DAS website providing complete construction services throughout the United States, we also serve as construction managers and historic consultants. On staff, we have master carpenters, stonemasons, concrete workers, painters, and craftspeople who team with subcontractors and artisans as needed. Always mindful of our corporate responsibilities, we work in strict compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. Our Carpenter and Mason Apprenticeship programs help us uphold our unparalleled craftsmanship and support our excellent safety record.

At Kronenberger & Sons, we bring you our expertise as well as experience to deliver superior quality, on time and within budget. It all begins by listening intently to our client as we pay close attention to the history of the structure. We are committed to learning the story of your building and, through our work, telling it with integrity. It has been our goal to balance a passionate interest in historic preservation with level-headed professionalism. Years of successful projects and satisfied clients are a testament to that goal.
