Superintendent

Job Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily construction activities, coordinating with multiple subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitoring project timelines and budgets, and maintaining communication with clients and stakeholders. The Superintendent travels throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in historic preservation and restoration projects.
  • Experience managing projects greater than $5 million.
  • OSHA 10 Training
  • A Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License is required. If not currently held, the candidate will be expected to enroll and acquire the license within six months of hire.
  • Previous experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and materials for historic structures.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Certifications or qualifications in historic preservation or construction management are a plus.

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits including six paid holidays, health, dental, and life insurance, short-term disability insurance, sick time, paid vacation time, retirement plan with profit sharing, and travel reimbursement.

Salary range: $80,000/yr – $110,000/yr
