Aetna Solar Array Bracket Installation

Amongst the top ten largest companies in Connecticut, Aetna had big plans to reduce their ecological footprint by installing a 200kW photovoltaic system on their Atrium Building in downtown Hartford, Conn. The towering 120-foot wall which now holds the solar arrays faces south to ensure maximum sunlight exposure. The solar arrays are very recognizable and can be seen when driving on interstate I-84 through Hartford. Kronenberger & Sons was subcontracted to install the brackets for all wall mounted solar arrays. Our work included drilling over 290 9” holes into the masonry to create secure anchor points for the steel brackets, followed by subsequent installation of those brackets.
